Crowd0 Terms of Use and conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Crowd0. By using the Crowd0 platform (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. Please be aware that our platform does not provide regulated investment opportunities. Consequently, we do not fall under the jurisdiction or oversight of the Financial Conduct Authority. Like all rewards-based crowdfunding initiatives and community share sales, there is no pathway to seek remediation from the Financial Ombudsman Service or protection from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

2. The Crowd0 Services Provided

Crowd0 provides a crowdfunding service that allows registered users (“Campaign Owners”) to run campaigns for the purpose of funding a specific project by offering rewards to backers (“Backers”).

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service. By using Crowd0, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

4. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Pledges and Payments

By proceeding with your pledge to a campaign on Crowd0, you hereby authorize Crowd0 to store your payment method details. You will not be charged at the time of pledging. We will only store your payment details securely for future processing. The pledged amount will be charged to your payment method only if the campaign reaches its funding target by the end date. This authorization applies to any future payments associated with your pledges on our platform, in compliance with the terms set forth below:

1. Authorization for Payments: You grant Crowd0 permission to initiate a payment on your behalf, using the stored payment method, for pledge transactions you have agreed to on our platform, if the campaign reaches its target raise amount.

2. Frequency of Payments: You will be charged a one-time payment per pledge transaction you make.

4. Determination of Payment Amount: The amount to be charged will correspond to the pledge amount you commit to at the time of the pledge.

5. Opt-In Agreement: By clicking pledge, you explicitly consent to these terms, including the storage of your payment information and the initiation of payments as described above.

6. Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) Compliance: For users impacted by SCA, this agreement facilitates uninterrupted payment processing. Our integration with Stripe ensures that your off-session payments are processed as merchant-initiated transactions (MIT), thereby not requiring online authentication for each transaction after your initial authorization.

In the event that the campaign you pledged to does not reach its intended target raise amount, you will not be charged. All payment details are stored securely with our payment service provider, Stripe.

6. Rewards and Fulfilment

Campaign Owners are solely responsible for fulfilling their promises to Backers, including sending rewards. As a Backer, you understand that making a pledge does not guarantee that you will receive any rewards if the Campaign Owner is unable to complete the project. Crowd0 does provide services to help facilitate the delivery of rewards for the Campaign Owner however it does not guarantee that the rewards itself will be satisfactory to the Backer or that they will be delivered on time.

7. Fees

Crowd0 charges a platform fee of 5% of the total raise amount for the use of the platform. In addition, businesses will also be required to pay the transaction fee of 1.5% + 20p per pledge transaction, that our payment provider Stripe charges. 8. User Conduct

You are responsible for all activity on your Crowd0 account. You may not use Crowd0 for any illegal activities or to violate any laws in your jurisdiction.
